We’re looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Fabricator to join our custom orthotics lab. In this hands‑on role, you’ll fabricate and assemble custom orthotics using detailed specifications, working with a variety of materials and tools. Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)- Fabricate and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications and blueprints.
- Cut, shape, and mold materials using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Corrector and other team members to resolve production issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment as needed.
- Document production processes and update records as required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring material levels and reporting shortages.
- Suggest improvements to fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Support other lab functions as needed to ensure production deadlines are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands‑on fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, or production experience (orthotics experience a plus, but not required)
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Knowledge of materials used in orthotics fabrication, including plastics, foams, and resins.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
