Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hematology/Oncology Clinic
Join Sentara Health as an LPN in our Oncology and Hematology Clinic at the Phillips Cancer Center, located in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full‑time, day‑shift position (8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday) with rotating days off. No nights or weekends. We offer a sign‑on bonus of $8,000 for qualified candidates.
OverviewThis role will assist six physicians and three advanced practice providers in the clinic, performing rooming, vital signs, IV placement, phlebotomy, and basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients and take vital signs
- Perform IV placement and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care
- Provide basic nursing care under RN or LIP supervision within scope of practice
- Trade school graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing program (required)
- Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of nursing experience required; phlebotomy experience required; IV setting experience preferred; oncology/hematology experience preferred
