Charlottesville, VA. Shift: Third (Nights).
Wendell 2 is an award‑winning Surgical Short Stay unit with 24 beds, specializing in women’s health, ortho/spine, general surgery, and bariatrics. The unit maintains a 1:5 or 1:6 RN to patient ratio and focuses on rapid discharge turnover. The team includes Patient Care Technicians, Unit Coordinators, Resource Nurses, and an experienced Educator. The unit emphasizes comprehensive staff development and continuous improvement, having earned the Big Cup Award for 2025.
