Registered Nurse (RN) Admit Recovery – Sentara Health

Charlottesville, VA. Full Time, Day shift.

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an RN for its Admit Recovery Department—a 28‑bed unit specializing in same‑day surgery. The unit operates from 5 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on‑call schedule.

Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates.

The RN will provide comprehensive, high‑quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement personalized care plans, and administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor vital signs, observe changes in patient condition, and respond promptly.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Uphold patient safety, evidence‑based protocols, and promote a supportive environment.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or MSN (Preferred)

• Registered Nursing License (required)
• BLS within 90 days of hire

• 1 year acute care (preferred)
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
