Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with variable schedule:
Monday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Thursday-Friday 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

• General call requirements: 4-6 call shifts in a 6-week schedule including two 12-hour weekend call shifts

• Must be able to both scrub and circulate

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Level 1 trauma experience required

• Must have orthopedic scrub and total joint experience

• 40-hour orientation required

• BSN preferred

• Epic charting experience required

• Must maintain 50-mile radius from facility

• Float within scope of practice within the facility

• Work with patients across all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Operate in 34 operating rooms with various specialties including ortho/neuro/complex spine, ENT/plastics/ophthalmology, pediatrics, robotics, general surgery/trauma/transplant, GU/GYN, cardiovascular, and thoracic

• Work with advanced equipment including Xi and SP robots, Mako for total knees, Mazor for spines, lasers, and various power equipment

Skills required:

appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, general OR, hernia repair, infection control, laparoscopic procedures, specimen handling, thyroidectomy, universal protocol, and Whipple procedures

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Virginia nursing license required (pending acceptable but must have in hand by Wednesday before start date)

• Nursys verification required for submission
