Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night position requiring Epic experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

• Work in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU caring for patients after cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and heart or lung transplantation
• Night shift schedule, typically four 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Must adhere to float policy and may be assigned to float based on clinical experience
• Care for patients who have undergone CABG, valve replacement/repair, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation
• RNs will work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment
• 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler to this facility
• No radius rule applies for candidate eligibility
• Background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process

• Active VA or Compact RN license, or ability to obtain prior to start (pending accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Minimum time off requested during contract is 40 hours
