Job Details:

• This is a pediatric float pool position floating to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical/surgical, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week

• 13-week assignment with every other weekend required

• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed

• Up to 40 hours approved for time off

• 60-hour orientation period

• Must have 2 years of PICU experience and be comfortable with NICU experience

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred

• Travel experience required

• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Dr Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certificate ($185 cost, can submit with pending)

• Epic charting system experience required

• Virginia nursing license required (can submit with pending license)

• BSN preferred

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Must adhere to float policy and work within scope of practice

• Care for patients ranging from neonates to adolescents across multiple specialized pediatric units

• Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU 1:2 or 1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4-5

• May float to L&D and Mother/Baby during staffing crises
