American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I or II trauma center experience and multiple advanced certifications.
Details- 13-week assignment in the Emergency Department of a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- 36 or 48 hours per week with weekend requirements
- Scheduled days vary based on staffing needs; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
- BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Provide emergency care across a Level I and Level II trauma patient population, including pediatric cases
- Triage skills preferred
- Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off (RTO) approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange a realistic start date
- Former UVA Health permanent staff or internal/external travelers must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
- External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
- No radius rule applies to this position
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
