American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring VA or compact RN license and PALS certification.

• 13-week travel assignment with an October start date
• PICU setting at a pediatric medical center, including Pediatric CVICU experience valued
• Rotating 3x12-hour day and night shifts (7:00-19:00 / 19:00-7:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week schedule
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• 3 weekends required per six-week schedule
• May float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be in hand before start)
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• BSN preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Peds cardiac experience a plus
• Epic charting system experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients including respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, neurologic, and GI care
• Skills such as ventilator management, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, and EVD/ICP monitoring are valued
• Float within scope of practice as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Time off requests capped at 40 hours per contract and must be disclosed at submission
• No time off approved during the first 2 weeks of the contract
• Previous UVA permanent staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• No radius rule applies to this position
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
