Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Pre/Post in our Endoscopy Unit. This is a Full Time, Day shift in Charlottesville, VA!
Schedule:
Five 8-hour shifts:
The hours are 645a to 415P between Monday and Friday.
Sign on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates.

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital's Digestive Care Center's board-certified gastroenterologists, including two Gastroenterology physicians and a colorectal surgeon, treat a variety of diseases affecting the gallbladder, liver, mouth, stomach, intestines, pancreas, colon, and esophagus. The department sees an average of 16-18 procedures per day, both ambulatory and inpatient. The pre/post RN can expect a nurse patient ratio of 1:3.
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
- Degree in Registered Nursing required
- BSN or MSN Preferred
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Previous Endoscopy experience preferred
- 18 months of procedural nursing experience preferred
- Experience in Operating room or sterile settings preferred
- Team work and communication skills required

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
