Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I or II trauma experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required
• Some pediatric experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• 36 or 48 hours per week with weekends required
• Scheduled days vary based on staffing needs and block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide emergency care within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center setting
• Triage skills preferred
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract, which must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Previous UVA Health permanent staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation plus leadership approval to return
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• No radius restriction for this unit
