Hollymead Veterinary Hospital offers General Practice and Urgent Care services to companion animals in Charlottesville, Virginia. Formerly known as VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialty Services), our hospital has provided emergency services to the Charlottesville community for over 30 years. In 2018, we began shifting towards urgent care and general practice services. Our team is dedicated to both pets and their owners, and we pride ourselves on delivering medical excellence and patient-centered care in a comforting environment.
We have several team members that are Fear-Free and RECOVER certified, led by a people-focused Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM).
Hollymead Veterinary Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia is a 4 doctor practice providing General Practice and Urgent Care services. We’re seeking an additional, experienced veterinarian who enjoys treating a diverse range of cases with a highly skilled team!
Highlights- 7 driven and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technicians with additional assistants currently pursuing licensure
- LVTs are leveraged so DVMs can focus on cases and client communication
- Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician has several years of experience in the field within a leadership role; very skilled with surgery and emergency
- Solution-focused Certified Veterinary Practice Manager who is a people-first leader and keen operator who does not shy away from difficult conversations
- Excellent culture and low turnover team that collaborates extremely well with one another
- Strong support from VETSS Regional Manager who obtained her CVPM in 2022
- Several team members who are fear-free certified and RECOVER certified
- Spacious, 5,600 sq ft facility. Treatment area structured for optimized flow and hospitalized patient care and visibility

- Full-time or part-time, experienced veterinarian interested in a caseload of approximately 50% general practice, 50% urgent care
- Collaborative teammate who keeps up to date on new developments in medicine and patient care
