Broker – Charlottesville, VA

Responsibilities
  • Present properties and highlight amenities to prospective tenants.
  • Assist landlords in navigating the market.
  • Advertise available properties using various media and promotional materials.
  • Determine the needs, standards, and economic viability of prospective customers.
  • Stay knowledgeable of the property market status.
  • Provide information on all aspects of properties (expansion, zoning, crime, etc.).
  • Negotiate leasing terms and conditions.
  • Close deals and handle all transactions.
  • Ensure all paperwork is properly completed.
  • Create relationships with landlords and tenants across industries for future leases, sales, or purchases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four‑year college or university.
  • Valid state real estate license.
  • Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to sensitive issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Ability to conduct advanced financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to solve problems involving multiple options in situations requiring advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Professional judgment with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license.
