Celebrated landmarks, including Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and the University of Virginia, are clustered here among swathes of the East Coast’s most beautiful scenery. The region is also home to over 25 wineries, breweries and cider makers.

This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80‑room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re‑opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean‑Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics centre.

• Assist in maintaining stocks by helping with inventory, changing kegs, collecting empty glassware, and keeping the bar area clean.
• Continuously re‑stock the bartender area with liquor, ice, fruit, straws, etc. for guests and bartenders.
• Assist bartenders with monitoring guests at the bar and fulfilling guest requests to ensure satisfactory service.
• Clear, clean and set up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests and provide water, bread and butter service according to hotel standards.
• Recognise and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests.
• Anticipate guest needs, address guest concerns and requests promptly.
• Assist with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to the guest, as well as removing items from the guest’s table.
• Stock linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0–2 years of food service experience; experience and/or education will be considered.
• Fine dining experience preferred.
• Certified in CPR, First Aid, AED.
• Knowledgeable about menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.
• Excellent bartending and cocktail knowledge; both modern and classic cocktails.
• Detailed knowledge of all menu items, both food and beverages.
• Strong organisational and prioritising skills.
• Capability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Solid communication skills and eye for detail.
• Affinity for guest service and strong interpersonal/team player skills.
• Fluent in written, spoken and reading English.
• Strong commitment to service and sense of urgency.
• Able to navigate stairs, stoop, bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
