• Performs daily duties including preparing food, washing, chopping, mixing, cooking, assembling recipes, and preparing for service.
• Serves meals to customers, operates cash register, cleans kitchen and equipment, washes dishes, pots, utensils, etc.
• Follows proper sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
• Assists customers and meets their needs.

• Some knowledge or experience in food preparation and sanitation preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate positive customer service skills.
• Ability to count money.

Work typically occurs in a school cafeteria setting. Extended standing, bending, and lifting (up to 45 pounds) are required. Use of kitchen equipment and occasional exposure to damp floors, steam, and cleaning materials. Daily contact with school staff, students, and visitors.
