Overview
Financial Services Representative II at Carter Bank encourages stronger relationships with new and existing customers, helping them reach financial goals while supporting branch growth and customer well‑being.
Responsibilities- Engage customers in needs‑based conversations, open new products, process transactions accurately, educate on self‑service options, and refer to partners.
- Deliver exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement, building trust by anticipating and meeting customer needs.
- Identify opportunities and generate high‑quality referrals to branch associates, internal partners, and external vendors, partnering on business development to drive growth and satisfaction.
- Assist in resolving more complex banking and customer service issues requiring research or cross‑department collaboration while maintaining ownership of the interaction.
- Contribute to efficient branch operation by following established processes, complying with all applicable regulations, and supporting branch management in operational tasks.
- Participate in and support the bank’s strategic plan to grow retail banking business, meeting or exceeding sales goals through targeted activities and appropriate product offerings.
- Own career development by learning new skills through assigned and self‑sourced training, coaching, and other growth opportunities.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college a plus.
- Successful customer service and/or sales experience required.
- Preferred: prior experience in a retail bank or related industry, and cash handling experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- Advanced customer service, intermediate verbal, written, and listening skills, problem‑solving, collaboration, understanding of banking products, adaptability, prioritization, MS Office proficiency, critical thinking, negotiation, relationship building.
Physical & Mental Qualities
- Standing, walking, bending, and stooping required.
- Must sit at a desk for long periods and use a computer.
- Can occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds, work supplemental hours, and travel occasionally after business hours.
