Wine Wholesale Sales Representative – Noer Vineyards

Location: Verona, VA (Shenandoah Valley), Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Richmond or Tidewater

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Base salary $45,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience) + commission and performance bonuses

Noer Vineyards, a family‑owned winery nestled in the scenic Shenandoah Valley near Verona, Virginia, is rapidly expanding our portfolio of thoughtfully farmed, classically crafted wines. With over 100 acres under vine and a commitment to showcasing the unique terroir of the region, we are proud members of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail and recent award winners in regional competitions. As we prepare for our grand opening and continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate Wine Wholesale Sales Representative to join our team and drive distribution across Virginia and select regional markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale distributors, grocery stores, restaurants, retailers, hotels, and off‑premise accounts.
  • Prospect new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct professional wine tastings, presentations, staff trainings, and promotional events to educate buyers and promote Noer Vineyards' portfolio.
  • Develop territory sales plans, track inventory, monitor market trends, and provide feedback to the winery team.
  • Collaborate with distributors to ensure proper product placement, merchandising, and depletion goals.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and wine festivals to represent the brand.
  • Manage administrative tasks including sales reporting, expense tracking, and CRM updates.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in wine/beverage sales (wholesale preferred) or related hospitality/restaurant roles.
  • Passion for wine with strong knowledge of varietals, regions, and Virginia's wine industry; WSET or similar certification a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a territory covering Virginia (travel required; valid driver's license and reliable vehicle necessary).
  • Must be 21+ and able to lift cases of wine (up to 40 lbs).
