Position Summary:

This armed position is under the direct supervision of the Manager for an assigned high‑profile site and performs a variety of security‑related duties. You will observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel. As an armed officer you may respond to unusual or emergency situations with an appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol.

You will also assist in preserving order, enforce site regulations, control access through the admittance process, and monitor entrances and exits to prevent unlawful entry. Some assignments may require foot or vehicle patrols, checking for hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations; protecting evidence or scenes of incidents; and preparing logs or reports as requested. The position may involve stressful situations and requires a Top Secret clearance.

• Execute a variety of security duties including processing visitors, enforcing property rules, and maintaining visitor logs.
• Prevent, discover, delay, or detain persons attempting unauthorized access.

Security guards are responsible for operating all security equipment on post, such as batons, OC spray, X‑ray machines, magnetometers, CCTV, handcuffs, and firearms where required.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• U.S. citizenship (preferred).
• High‑school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Two (2) years of armed security experience within the past five years or two (2) years of service with the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty or reserve).
• Pass medical examination, drug test, and physical agility test if applicable.
• Top Secret clearance required.

• Requires physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions; may work inside and outside property under inclement weather and unpredictable situations.
• Shift work required.
• Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or relieving bladder/bowels.
• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per day.

• Starting wage range: $17.75 per hour (starting trainee) in all states except California; $26.00 per hour in California.
• Additional hourly compensation of $1.00–$4.00 at sites requiring a Secret or Top‑Secret clearance.
• Shift differential of $0.25–$1.50 per hour at some assignments.
