The University of Virginia Police Department is recruiting for the Police Academy starting January 2027 to serve the UVA community and surrounding area. Officers will patrol, respond to incidents, and prepare reports while upholding fair, impartial policing and campus safety commitments.
Minimum qualifications include 21+, firearms and driving skills, strong communication, and a valid Virginia license. Starting salary is $62,000 per year with overtime eligibility, anticipated start December 2026.
