The Equipment Operatorpositionutilizesheavyequipmentoperationknowledgein  the constructionandmaintenanceof ournation’sPower

Grid.

Youwillassistyourteaminbuilding,repairing, andmaintainingoverheadelectricaldistributionsystems.

Asan Equipment Operator,youwill supportyourteamby:

Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,team-membersareregularlyrequiredtotalkorhear.

Theteam- memberis frequentlyrequiredtostand;walk;usehandstofinger,handleandfeel;andreachwithhands andarms.

Theteam-memberis frequentlyrequiredtoperformrigorousphysicallabor;sit;climbdifferenttypesof structures(wood,steel,etc.);orbalance;andstoop,kneelcrouchorcrawl.

Team-membersfrequentlylift ormoveuptoorin-excessof
50 lbs. Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythisjobincludeclosevision, distance vision,color vision,peripheral vision,depthperceptionandabilitytoadjustfocus.

Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,team-membersmayfrequentlybeexposedtofumesor airborne particles,movingmechanicalpartsandvibration.

Team-membersareoccasionallyexposedtoavarietyof extremeconditionsatconstructionjobsites.

Thenoiselevelin theworkenvironmentcanbe loud. Powerlineconstructionworkis performedoutsideandis subjecttodiverseweatherconditions.
