Clearance Requirement:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; minimum secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance required.

License/Certification Requirement:
Applicants selected must hold a state issued Journeyman License.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the project site are operating at peak efficiency, including planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interfacing with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors. Maintain systems that support mission-critical operations with uptime targets above 99.999%.
  • Render assistance in administration and regulation of the duties of junior technicians and provide oversight of contractors’ electrical duties.
  • Analyze system requirements, research equipment and procedures, and recommend modifications. Install new units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Utilize safe working practices, apply lockout/tagout, MSDS, housekeeping, and related safety standards; perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify malfunctioning electronic units, including circuit boards and sensing mechanisms.
  • Perform maintenance, installations, and service repairs on critical data center systems and electrical equipment, using appropriate test equipment and logging activities in CMMS.
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs documenting parameters (power availability, temperature, humidity, alarm status) and monitor BAS following site MOPs and SOPs.
  • Manage mechanical and electrical systems in emergency situations (HVAC, power distribution, generator systems, UPS, DC power, fire and life safety).
  • Identify required materials and parts, prepare cost estimates for procurement, and maintain relationships with major vendor accounts.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee critical environment vendors during maintenance, emergency, and break/fix events to ensure safety and power continuity.
  • Set up and operate electrical data capturing devices (e.g., Dranetz, Fluke PQA).
  • Create and review MOPs and SOPs to ensure up-to-date techniques and safety guidelines.
  • Document maintenance activities and generate reports; develop reliability reports to identify improvements and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct training with junior technicians and other staff on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Preventive maintenance: scheduled maintenance on electrical systems including generators, switch gear, UPS, transformers, and lighting.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: ensure all work complies with safety policies and industry standards.
  • Equipment Testing: regularly test electrical equipment to ensure proper operation and regulatory compliance.
  • Documentation: maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs.
  • Collaboration:

    work with other engineering teams to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and new installations.
