Lead Exceptional Outdoor Projects from Start to Finish

Our client is a growing design-build company specializing in premium outdoor living and wellness environments. They create custom backyard spaces that combine craftsmanship, functionality, and lifestyle, delivering high-end projects that transform how homeowners enjoy their properties.

They are seeking an experienced Backyard Wellness Foreman to lead construction projects from excavation through final handoff. This is an opportunity for a skilled leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys mentoring crews, and values delivering an outstanding client experience.

The Opportunity

This role goes beyond traditional landscaping. You'll oversee the construction of complete outdoor living environments that may include:

  • Custom pools and spas
  • Outdoor kitchens and entertainment areas
  • Saunas and wellness features
  • Pool houses and accessory structures
  • Hardscaping, paver installations, and landscape enhancements
  • Full backyard transformations

As the Foreman, you will be responsible for leading daily site operations, coordinating trades, managing crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and oversee day-to-day construction activities on assigned projects

Manage project sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and site safety

Interpret plans and specifications while identifying and resolving field challenges

Maintain organized, clean, and professional job sites

Crew Management
  • Lead and mentor a crew of approximately 3–5 team members
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure productivity targets are met
  • Foster a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment
  • Lead by example both on and off the tools
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialty trades throughout project execution
  • Ensure all work is completed according to schedule and quality expectations
  • Communicate effectively with project management regarding site progress and challenges
Client Experience
  • Serve as the primary on‑site contact for homeowners
  • Provide regular updates and maintain professional communication throughout the project
  • Address day‑to‑day questions while escalating scope or budget changes to project management

Unlike many seasonal construction and landscaping companies, this opportunity offers stable, year‑round employment.

During peak construction months, you'll lead outdoor wellness and backyard transformation projects. During the winter season, you'll transition into indoor construction work involving custom accessory buildings and related projects, allowing for continuous employment and income throughout the year.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading landscape, hardscape, pool, or outdoor construction projects
  • Proven experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Professional communication skills with clients and team members
  • Strong commitment to site organization, quality, and safety
  • Carpentry or finishing experience considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in completed work
What Our Client Offers
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Stable, year‑round employment
  • Opportunities for professional growth and skill development
  • A collaborative team environment that values craftsmanship and innovation
  • Involvement in unique, high‑end residential projects
  • Direct access to leadership and meaningful input into operations and project execution
Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is a chance to join a company operating in one of the fastest‑growing segments of the residential construction market: outdoor wellness and lifestyle spaces. The projects are unique, the standards are high, and the work directly impacts how clients enjoy their homes and their lives.

If you're a hands‑on construction leader who takes pride in building exceptional spaces and leading high‑performing teams, we'd like to hear from you.
