Position: Controls Designer for Food Equipment
CMP in Charlottetown, PEI is seeking a Controls Designer dedicated to electrical and automation systems for food processing. Work in a collaborative environment focusing on innovation and safety.

In this role, you will contribute to developing, testing, and refining automation systems for new products in the food industry. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with various teams throughout the engineering process, ensuring efficacy and meeting rigorous safety standards. CMPs commitment to innovation means you will play a key role in creating solutions that matter for clients both domestically and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and document electrical drawings for new products

• Create functional descriptions and design control system layouts

• Write PLC/HMI programs for diverse machinery

• Collaborate on new equipment testing procedures

• Provide installation support and generate cable schedules

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• At least 2 years of experience, preferably in food processing

• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical

• Knowledge of PLCs and relevant electrical standards

• Strong ability to communicate with diverse audiences
