Policy and Research Officer in PEI

Enhance the research and policy efforts for FPEIM as a Policy and Research Officer. Contribute to municipal governance, climate adaptation, and essential advocacy initiatives.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is vital for strengthening FPEIM’s capabilities in research and policy. You will address crucial issues like infrastructure, housing, and financial planning while collaborating with municipal stakeholders to improve PEI community outcomes. The position requires analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of municipal governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research municipal policy issues and assess impacts

• Monitor legislative developments relevant to municipalities

• Prepare issue briefs and policy recommendations

• Draft consultation responses for Executive Director review

• Support government meeting preparations with evidence

Requirements:

• University degree in Public Policy or related field

• Experienced in policy research and analysis

• Strong analytical and writing skills

• Proficient in data analysis and document management

• Knowledge of municipal governance issues
