Systems Administrator - IT Services at UPEI

Join UPEI's Information Technology Services as a Systems Administrator to aid in delivering impactful IT solutions. This full-time position supports essential university functions through system management and innovation.

This contract role invites applicants with a diploma or degree in IT, and a minimum of three years' experience in server or network support. You will be a crucial member of ITSS, overseeing the operational aspects of network infrastructure and providing user training. Your work will strengthen the quality of IT services across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee server and network installations and maintenance

• Manage cloud and on-premise backup systems

• Handle endpoint device configurations with management tools

• Assist with SSL certificate renewals

• Coordinate systems training for end users

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science or IT

• Minimum three years in network/server support

• Familiarity with Microsoft and Apple systems

• Experience with data protection strategies

• Relevant certifications are an asset
