Heavy Equipment Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join a waste management facility in Charlottetown. The successful candidate will operate a variety of heavy equipment to bale and load waste materials into trailers while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient worksite.
THE JOB

Operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and forklifts

Bale and load waste into trailers

Perform daily inspections and routine equipment maintenance

Grease equipment; check and add fluids

Clean equipment and maintain site cleanliness

Communicate with team via two-way radio

Follow all safety policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years’ heavy equipment operating experience

Forklift certification required

Valid Class 5 PEI license (Class 1 or 3 an asset)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Willing to obtain landfill/transfer station certifications if required
