Responsibilities- Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and gain a thorough understanding of the business processes.
- Solve complex problems with technological proposals.
- Research and stay abreast of latest technology trends.
- Develop project estimates and manage project work plans.
- Answer team member questions, assist team members with issues, and oversee team member work for quality.
- Lead a team of engineers including development, mentoring, and product delivery management.
- Learn and adhere to department standards for design, development, and quality control.
- Complete major deliverables including technical design documentation and implementation of business requirements.
- Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.
- Work as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects and reviews.
- Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, proof of concepts, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.
- Provide post implementation support.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
- Assist with developing improvements to team processes and procedures.
- Handle deployments, define best practices and coding guidelines for the team.
- Stay abreast of new developments and functionality of content management industry trends and cloud platforms.
- Extreme proficiency in developing and consuming REST APIs via Mule Soft.
- Expertise in Mule Soft 4, API‑led connectivity, microservices, and Java.
- Experience in a Dev Ops environment, including exposure to CI/CD tools such as Bamboo and source‑code management tools—Git, Bitbucket.
- Understanding of AWS, specifically EKS and EC2 platforms.
- Strong grasp of design patterns and software engineering concepts and best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in full‑stack object‑oriented development languages such as Java.
- 3+ years of experience in a SQL‑backed environment;
Snowflake preferred. - Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills with the ability to ask for help when needed.
- Ability to consume libraries, tools, and APIs from other teams to achieve the desired functionality.
- Technical team leadership experience.
- Experience in a Scaled Agile framework is preferred.
- Exposure and interest in full‑stack development in one of the following:
Node.js, Python, or Java. - Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related program is preferred; a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
Salary range: $50,000 – $65,000 per year (in Charlottetown).
