Job DescriptionReporting to the Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
It is a SEASONAL position starting at the beginning of April for a term of 8-10 weeks.
Work location: 19 Riverside Dr, Charlottetown, PE
Wages: $19 - $22
Responsibilities- Drive company Class 3A trucks to deliver fertilizer and crop inputs in bulk to local farms and between Agri Branch locations.
- Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform mandatory maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure completion of paperwork.
- Represent the company in a professional, positive and pleasant manner.
- Work safely to avoid harm to yourself, customer's property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory.
- Other duties as assigned. Other duties may include bagging, palletizing, cleaning, pressure-washing, etc.
- Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority.
- Valid driver’s license of Class 3A or higher and clean driver abstract.
- Previous experience operating Class 3A trucks.
- Experience with boom trucks, cement trucks, dump trucks, or other related heavy equipment is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs (25kgs)
- Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Previous experience applying fertilizer, crop protectants, and other treatment products and/or working in an agricultural environment would be an asset.
- Able to work well independently and follow safety, quality control, and operating procedures at all times.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
- Able to speak, read, and write the English language proficiently.
