Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Perform oil changes and other basic services.
• Use the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, including service area, tire racks, showroom, and building exterior.
• Drive vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
• Transport customers, pick up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or corporate office.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections following company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook.
• Work flexible schedules, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• General understanding of under-hood, mechanical, and under-carriage assemblies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, and hazardous materials.
• Extreme heat and/or cold in varying ambient temperatures.
• Stand for up to eight hours per day; walk to access various areas.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion for arms and hands.
• Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
