DescriptionCome join our growing team at Carver County Community Development Agency (CDA)! Carver County CDA is a government agency that provides affordable housing and economic development services in Carver County. We are searching for a Staff Accountant Assistant who can support the daily operation of the Finance Department. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Finance and the Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant Assistant will perform a variety of accounts payable and receivable duties.
Duties include, but are not limited to, receiving, coding, and data entry for CDA, CLT, economic development, and housing assistance program invoices, processing monthly employee reimbursements, vendor set up, EFT vendor set up and payments for housing assistance program landlords, reviewing and posting all site deposits, and bank reconciliations.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Receiving, coding, data entry of all CDA, Land Trust, economic development and housing assistance program invoices
- Review, correction, and commitment of all property payables, including verification of supporting documentation (PO’s, packing slips)
- Process monthly employee reimbursement
- EFT payments for housing assistance programs landlords
- Matching and recording of EFT payments in Yardi to reconcile with bank accounts
- Process weekly check runs
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
- Review and post all site deposits
- Verify deposit totals match checks
- Verify correct deposit book is used
- Deposit all funds to the appropriate bank (US Bank, Old National)
REPORTING
- Bank Reconciliations
- Work with property managers to resolve issues as needed
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong numerical aptitude
- Ability to enter data efficiently with accuracy
- Detail oriented
- Problem solving
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Other duties as assigned including helping the finance department administratively
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree
