Job Title: Sr. Supervisor, Production & Warehouse 2nd shift
Job DescriptionThe Role: The Senior Supervisor, Production and Warehouse for 2nd shift to be responsible and accountable for achieving departmental production requirements by focusing on safety first, quality, and cost, through supervision of staff and through the coordination of scheduling and workflow. The incumbent will be directly responsible for the end-to-end supervision of the Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Extrusion, and Warehouse departments.
This role is critical in ensuring staff training and providing guidance, motivation, and ensuring work instructions are maintained and followed across their departments. This individual will build and maintain a culture where teamwork, innovation, and accountability are of the highest importance. They will also work closely with various Supervisors and support team resources to ensure seamless communication across the production shifts.
This position will primarily work during the 2nd shift schedule which is 2 pm - 10 pm Monday - Friday
. There will be an expectation that the incumbent flexes their hours and days worked to accommodate critical leadership meetings and other duties as necessary.
- Ensure safe work practices and work with EHS to train and elevate a culture of safety within the team.
- Monitor work areas and employees' performance for adherence to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)
- Serve as an escalation point for all employees working 2nd shift for any production/warehouse or behavioral issues that may arise during the shift.
- Ensure staff training is provided for effective performance. Address issues with staff and keep documentation for coaching. Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and applicable budget requirements. Conduct timely employee performance reviews.
- Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations as well as with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure operations is one cohesive unit.
- Ensure expected output of quality products. Assist in investigating and evaluating quality and safety issues and determining appropriate actions for resolution.
- Promote the use of Lean / Sigma Manufacturing concepts including SPC, Kanban materials management and 5s.
- Uses PDCA, TDM (Tiered Daily Management), schedule adherence, Implement and monitor continuous improvement activities including waste and cost reduction, equipment and tool efficiencies and human resource planning.
- Provide daily work direction to team members and act as a first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise on shift.
- 5 or more years' experience in a complex manufacturing environment
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience preferred
- Organizational, planning and communication skills and the ability to adapt to workforce, work environment and customer needs
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience with lean and/or six sigma methodologies preferred.

- Compensation: $85,000- $105,000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
