Injection Machine Molding Operator
Job DescriptionOur site in Chaska, MN is seeking an Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our team. This will be a contract position with possibility of conversion to a permanent position in the future. The injection molding machine operator produces a variety of high‑quality plastic components from resin pellets that are utilized by both internal and external customers. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks including monitoring and inspecting presses as well as performing second operations such as clipping, gating, or sorting by following Standard Operating Procedures and high‑quality standards.
Hours for this position are 10PM‑6AM Sunday‑Friday.
Responsibilities- Uses different fixtures to verify dimensions of molded parts are in accordance with quality and work order requirements.
- Performs operations on molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and closely follows standard operating procedures.
- Safely removes molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic arm using appropriate protective gear and handling tools.
- Places molded parts in designated cooling area to allow for controlled cooling processes.
- Carefully handles molded materials to the oven for baking process.
- Packages finished orders in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.
- Uses SAP and other electronic systems to find, record and generate documentation throughout the production process. Records all output and production data in ERP systems and maintains compliance with training and documentation requirements.
- Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software by utilizing measuring tools such as calipers and drop/height indicators.
- Escalates quality issues to supervisor or quality department as appropriate. Ensures the highest possible product quality and adherence to Entegris quality policy, ISO and/or other standards.
- Works with setup technician to troubleshoot and adjust molding machines as needed.
- Collaborates with materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materials for molding machine.
- Finalizes all required paperwork (Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions, etc.) and maintains accurate charts of rejected materials.
- Integrates key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost‑effectiveness and product/system quality. Promotes continuous improvement tools to eliminate non‑value activities. Participates in 6S, Kaizen events, etc.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, performs duties safely, observes approved safety procedures, communicates hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned to support the larger organization and production goals.
- Understands documentation (ASP, DWG, etc.) to ensure production of quality parts.
- Utilizes Stop Work Authority for safety and quality as needed.
- Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
- At least one year of previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Great attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Understand documented processes and procedures.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 50% of the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- PPE required at all times (safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, high‑visibility vests).

- Compensation: $21–$23 hourly range with actual pay based on overall skills.
