School Age Educator & Site Supervisors - Chatham

PositionSchool Age Site Supervisors and Educators in Chatham
CompensationStarting rates depend on region, qualifications, and contract.
- Members of the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario – $26.00–$27.00 per hour (includes government wage enhancements)
- Non-Members – up to $22.50 per hour (includes government wage enhancements)

- Vacation entitlement according to employment standards regulations, and up to 3 paid personal days annually

- Monday through Friday following the elementary school calendar
- Morning program: 7:15 am–9:00 am
- Afternoon program: 2:30 pm–6:00 pm (varies by location)
- Number of shifts per week depends on availability and position
- Possibility of full‑day shifts on PD days/breaks as needed
- Submit personal availability 4 weeks in advance via web‑based scheduling system
- Commit to supporting a family of schools within reasonable proximity
- Plan and deliver a child‑centered program for elementary‑age children following YMCA curriculum
- Provide compassionate care and support to children and families
- Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; comply with provincial, municipal, and YMCA policies
- Committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging

- Experience working with children 4–12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset
- Planning to enroll in, or currently pursuing a diploma in Early Childhood Education, or holding a diploma or degree in a related field is an asset
- Early Childhood Education graduates must be registered (or in process) and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Graduates in related fields must be members of required associations
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or scheduled training within next three months (applicant bears cost)
- Minimum age 18 years with current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old)
- Up‑to‑date immunizations required by Public Health, Ministry of Education, and YMCASWO
- Ability to perform light to medium physical effort: lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bend, stoop
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
