Position: FSL Long Term Occasional Teacher 2026

Seeking a motivated Long Term Occasional Teacher for French as a Second Language at Christ the King and St. Elizabeth Catholic Schools in Wallaceburg. This role combines teaching skills with a commitment to immersion prep education.

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is hiring a Long Term Occasional Teacher for the academic year from September 2026 to June 2027. Ideal candidates will hold a Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers and be fluent in conversational and written French. This teaching position is part-time, accommodating two schools in Wallaceburg at an FTE of 0.60.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the designated School Principals

• Deliver engaging French language instruction

• Support students in immersion prep activities

• Develop lesson plans tailored to student needs

• Ensure compliance with educational standards

Requirements:

• Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers

• French division qualifications or FSL, Part 1

• Fluency in French, both written and conversational
