This role offers involvement in daily operations, circulation services, and community programming at various library locations.

Chatham-Kent Public Library is looking for three permanent casual Library Assistants 2 to support branch operations. Ideal candidates will assist with circulation, reference services, and community outreach. This role may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, aiming to enhance library resources and programs for all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with circulation and registration of library materials

• Support reference and reader’s advisory services for patrons

• Participate in marketing library materials and community programming

• Prepare materials for shelving and assess collections

• Assist with daily operations and report monthly activities

Requirements:

• College diploma with a minimum of two years’ public service experience

• Proficiency with integrated library systems and Microsoft Office

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required
