The Silvatech Group provides professional services in forest planning and development, waste and residue assessments, climate change mitigation, resource inventories & mapping. Silvatech is accepting resumes for the position(s) of Sr., Intermediate and Jr. Forest Technologists. The position(s) require resource technologists to carry out reconnaissance, road and block layout, cruising, GPS surveys, site plans and various assessments, waste surveys and associated reports.

We mentor and cross train new people in their career development process to give them a diversity of skills. We are a family friendly company, minimizing time away from home. The position(s) are full-time based at Kamloops, Salmon Arm, West Kootenays and Central Interior BC. We offer competitive remuneration and benefits commensurate with experience and responsibilities. Pay range $25.00 – 37.50 per hr.

• Forest Technologist Diploma or equivalent
• RFT certification in BC or eligible
• Timber development experience in BC
• Timber cruising experience in BC
• Site prescriptions experience
• Waste and Residue Surveys
• Efficient and safety conscious
• Good written and interpersonal communication skills
• Good people / team player skills
• A mature, teachable, flexible attitude
• Good computer technology skills
• Valid BC drivers license
• Level 1 First Aid, S100 Wildfire
