Patient Transfer Attendant

Overview

Voyago is hiring part-time Patient Transfer Attendants in Chatham, Ontario.

• You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
• You can provide outstanding customer service
• You have excellent communication skills

The Patient Transfer Attendant in Chatham is a unionized position.

Wednesday to Fridays; and 2 weekend days per month

You must possess the following qualifications:

• You have a valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year
  1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification
• We require Basic Life Support certification (HCL level)
• You possess a valid G class driving license
• You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner
• You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step
  1) must be valid within last 12 month
• You have successfully completed High School or can provide proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma
