Help Bring Manufacturing Back to Canada | Strategic Sourcing Specialist | $50-$75/hr
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist in the Supply Chain sector in Wallaceburg, Ontario. Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a high-impact initiative evaluating offshore manufacturing versus Canadian production.
This contract opportunity focuses on supplier sourcing, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, financial modelling, inventory optimization, and domestic manufacturing feasibility. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy and supply chain decisions through data-driven analysis and executive-level recommendations.
Benefits & Compensation- Total rewards: $50.00 - $75.00 hourly
- Earn $50 to $75 per hour based on experience
- Secure a contract opportunity with an anticipated duration of 4 to 12 months
- Contribute to a high-visibility strategic sourcing and manufacturing project
- Influence long-term procurement and supply chain decisions
- Collaborate directly with operational and executive stakeholders
- Gain exposure to reshoring, manufacturing, and supply chain transformation initiatives
- Work in a flexible remote, hybrid, or onsite environment as required
- Develop advanced expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier development, and cost modelling
- Build a master bill of materials and component cost matrix across multiple product lines
- Develop Total Cost of Ownership and landed cost models for imported components
- Analyze freight, duty, tariff, customs, and logistics costs
- Evaluate inventory carrying costs, working capital requirements, and cash flow impacts
- Identify, assess, and qualify manufacturing suppliers throughout Ontario and Quebec
- Coordinate NDAs, RFQs, pricing requests, and supplier communications
- Research grants, tax credits, and incentive programs supporting domestic manufacturing
- Present financial analyses, risk assessments, and sourcing recommendations to leadership
- Demonstrate experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations analysis
- Develop and maintain complex financial and cost models
- Apply strong knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership and landed cost methodologies
- Analyze inventory management, logistics, and working capital metrics
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and support supplier selection initiatives
- Conduct supplier outreach, market research, and competitive analysis
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and leadership teams
- Utilize advanced Excel and data analysis skills to support strategic decision-making
