Part-Time Facility Operator Kent

Become a key player in maintaining municipal recreation facilities with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent as a part-time Facility Operator. With responsibilities across various locations, enjoy a flexible work environment while ensuring seamless operations.

This role involves up to 24 hours per week coordinating and conducting maintenance of arenas, parks, sport fields, and pools. The ideal candidate has a Secondary School Diploma and 6 months to 2 years of experience in custodial and building maintenance. You will work both indoors and outdoors, contributing to the upkeep of community spaces and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ice resurfacer and specialized equipment

• Conduct general maintenance and hazard assessments

• Perform grounds remediation and sport field preparation

• Maintain logbooks and complete maintenance reports

• Assist with equipment setup for special events

Requirements:

• Secondary School Diploma or GED

• 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience

• Strong custodial and building maintenance skills

• Valid Class G Ontario driver's license

• Basic computer skills
