Project Manager for Parks Kent

Lead the development of parks and facilities as the Project Manager at the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. This temporary full-time role focuses on effective project management for a diverse range of infrastructure initiatives.

In this role, you will report to the Manager, Facilities Capital, and oversee capital projects related to municipal parks and facilities. Your responsibilities include managing project life cycles, from planning to execution, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Key focus areas include implementing the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and delivery of parks projects

• Manage consultants and contractors through procurement processes

• Oversee preparation of technical specifications and designs

• Develop detailed project management plans and budgets

• Facilitate public engagement in consultation processes

Requirements:

• College diploma or university degree in related field

• Four to six years of experience in project management

• Knowledge of capital project management practices

• Experience with parks and recreation facilities

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
