Heat Technician SECO​/ECM

Position: Heat Treat Technician with SECO / ECM
Location: Blenheim

Become a skilled Heat Treat Technician at our facility, operating SECO / ECM furnaces and managing dies. This role requires attention to detail in transport and loading tasks.

In this position, you will receive in-house training to operate furnaces, build loads by weight and height, and test the hardness of dies. Safety is a priority; experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is essential, along with basic math skills. Punctuality and reliability are crucial for success in this role, as is the willingness to work overtime when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate SECO / ECM furnace for heat treating

• Build and test loads efficiently and accurately

• Transport dies to the next processing stage

• Load and unload dies for preparation in the washer

• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts

Requirements:

• Training provided; prior experience preferred

• Basic math skills for weight and measurement

• Punctual and reliable work ethic

• Own transportation required for site access

• Must wear safety glasses and shoes

Engage in an important role with equipment handling and safety measures in the heat treatment process.
