Nurse Practitioner Emergency Care

Join the ONA team as a temporary part-time Nurse Practitioner in Emergency care at Chatham-Kent, Ontario. Bring advanced clinical judgment and emergency experience to provide exceptional patient care.

This role is open to ONA Bargaining Unit employees and is temporary, lasting until January 27, 2027, with potential for extension. Candidates must have an NP registration in the Extended Class and experience in critical care or emergency settings. Key skills required include triage, assessment, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care and treatment for patients

• Conduct assessments and triage in high-pressure situations

• Collaborate with interprofessional teams for optimal care

• Develop and evaluate programs/services in Emergency

• Ensure effective communication with patients and staff

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (NP-Primary Health Care or NP-Adult)

• Experience in hospital settings and elder care

• Advanced clinical and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Satisfactory attendance record
