Registered Nurses with acute medicine experience can support Medicine
- Chatham in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, through regular part-time clinical practice.
This Registered Nurse vacancy requires current Ontario registration and experience in acute medicine. The department values intravenous access certification, Basic Life Support, and knowledge supporting central venous access devices. Palliative Care Levels I and II, a BScN, and gerontological training are preferred. The position is regular part-time.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide registered nursing care in the Medicine
- Chatham department - Initiate intravenous lines through certified venipuncture practice
- Care for central venous access devices
- Administer intravenous narcotics below the drip chamber
- Apply acute medicine experience in patient care
- Current Ontario certificate of competence as a Registered Nurse
- Current acute medicine experience
- Basic Life Support certification
- Intravenous access and narcotic administration certification
- Satisfactory attendance; preferred BScN or related qualifications
