TheOpportunity
As a Sales & Customer Support Representative, you'll be the bridge between our customers, sales team, and operations. You'll ensure a seamless customer experience from the first quotation through order delivery and beyond. This is a dynamic role where you'll combine problem-solving, communication, organizational skills, and critical thinking to make sure our customers are supported every step of the way.
Customer Quotations & Sales Support- Work directly with customers, agents, distributors, and sales reps to understand requirements and prepare accurate quotations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm product options, pricing, and lead times.
- Provide timely, helpful responses to customer inquiries and support outside sales with information, samples, and materials.
- Review purchase orders and enter them into the system with accuracy.
- Track and communicate order status and shipping schedules.
- Work with engineering and operations to make sure technical details (like drawings or material lists) are in place.
- Build strong, positive relationships by being responsive, proactive, and solutions focused.
- Serve as a key contact for resolving questions or issues, offering both technical assistance and clear communication.
- Maintain accurate customer information in our systems and keep them updated with any changes.
- Partner with colleagues across sales, operations, and engineering to resolve issues and deliver excellent customer service.
- Participate in team discussions, share ideas, and contribute to improving processes and systems.
- Represent RS with professionalism, supporting our culture of teamwork and respect.
- A university degree or college diploma is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or order administration (manufacturing or technical industry experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems (e.g., Epicor, Salesforce) is an asset.
- Experience with reading drawings in both metric and imperial units.
- Industry knowledge in utilities or telecommunications is a plus.
- Proficiency in a second language is considered an advantage.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada or the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
