Supervised Access On-site Lead

Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports (“Linck”) requires one (1) Supervised Access On-site Lead. This is a contract, full-time position (70 hours per two-week pay period) beginning as soon as possible and lasting for a period of six (6) months.

The Supervised Access Lead provides primary prevention services to parents and children/youth and supports the delivery of the Supervised Access Program. The incumbent maintains a safe and supportive environment for children/youth in care to ensure continued access to their family members. The Lead will be the primary point of coverage for Supervised Access activities and will need to be flexible and responsive to all concerns that arise.

This may include leaving the access area and dealing with emergencies in other areas of the building.

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a two (2) or more-year diploma from a community college in a related field.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience in child and family services, supervised access, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and mentor staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and objective documentation.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when monitoring high-risk family interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to engage respectfully with children, youth, and families in complex situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills including experience with word processing and documentation systems.
  • A valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and insurance coverage.
  • The ability to communicate in French is an asset.
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages, and traditions.
