Position: Therapeutic Social Worker Position Available
Location: Wallaceburg

Enhance student well-being as a Therapeutic Social Worker with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board. Utilize evidence-based counseling practices to provide support and guidance to students and families.

This 12-month position requires effective communication and collaboration with children, parents, and school personnel.

Your role includes providing therapeutic counseling, conducting assessments, and documenting services based on ethical standards. You’ll also assist in the development of Individual Education Plans for students facing challenges while maintaining a comprehensive caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-informed practices

• Document services adhering to policy requirements

• Consult with school personnel for integrated support

• Administer screenings and assessments for health outcomes

• Serve as a liaison between home and school

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) with 5 years’ experience

• Registered with Ontario College of Social Workers

• Strong understanding of child and youth mental health

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G)
