Job Description:
The company are looking for a commercially focused
Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The role will involve both pre-contract estimating and post-contract commercial management, with responsibility for accurate pricing, take-offs, valuations, measures, labour schedules and variations. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, good construction knowledge and the ability to manage costs from initial tender through to project completion.
Key Duties:
Carry out detailed take-offs and measurements from drawings, specifications and project information. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and pricing for tenders and enquiries. Price labour, materials, plant, subcontractors and associated project costs. Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations. Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, omissions, risks and opportunities. Prepare detailed pricing breakdowns and schedules. Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases.
Ensure tenders and quotations are completed accurately and within required deadlines. Prepare and maintain labour schedules, monitoring labour requirements and costs against budget. Track project costs and identify potential cost overruns at an early stage. Company Benefits:

Proficiency in estimating software tools such as bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail.
