Teaching Assistant

Teacher Active is excited to be recruiting a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil within a classroom setting at a welcoming and supportive primary school in Medway.  

This rewarding Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with a child on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access the curriculum, stay engaged in learning, and develop confidence and independence throughout the school day. As a Teaching Assistant you will work alongside the class teacher and wider support staff to ensure the pupil receives consistent, tailored support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

Have experience supporting children in KS2, ideally in a one-to-one role

Be patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting a child’s academic and emotional needs

Be able to follow guidance from the class teacher and SEN support plans

Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Hold a relevant TA qualification or have suitable classroom experience  

This role is due to start in January, initially for Term 3, with the possibility of being extended beyond this period.
