Learning Support Assistant

About The Role

Do you want to work in a supportive environment with exciting plans for the future? Following an internal promotion, we are looking for additional Learning Support Assistants to join our team at The Victory Academy, providing support to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. You will work under the direction of the SENCO with individual students and groups of students, supporting progress monitoring for individuals.

Because this role requires a patient, caring and compassionate approach, it is suitable for anyone looking to build experience working with SEND pupils, and also for current Teaching Assistants willing to undertake training and development related to the role.

• Have experience supporting learning in the classroom (primary or secondary).
• Assist in the promotion of high standards of behaviour and conduct.
• Be a team player with great communication and organisational skills.
• Support colleagues as directed in all aspects of learning, personal development and emotional literacy.
• Work calmly under pressure and adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances.
