Tutor, Special Needs ​/ Learning Disabilities

Overview

Omega Tutoring are looking for 1:1 tutors to support children in care, children with special educational needs and excluded pupils in Gillingham and the surrounding Medway areas.

• Work on a 1:1 basis with students aged 5‑16 years old.
• Students are disengaged, often not on a school roll, and likely to have behaviour and/or SEN difficulties.
• Sessions take place at the student’s home or the local library.
• Focus on English and Maths.
• Primarily 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexible hours and potential to take more cases.

• QTS or QTLS preferred but not essential if you have relevant experience.
• Minimum of degree level.
• Experience working with students with SEN.
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
• A positive attitude and desire.
• The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child‑barred list DBS with online update or willingness to process new application.
• Two professional child‑related references.
